Our first yearly COOP'S OHANA FEST was October of 2019, Cooper's birthday month. The night was a great success, full of love, friendship, great food, and live music.

We had a wonderful auction and Boho boutique which also helped to raise money for the Center for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at UCLA (www.cdmd.ucla.edu). This is where Cooper gets tremendous medical care and is a site for many clinical trials. We were entertained by Cooper and friends, including Jim Lindberg of Pennywise. Jim loved Cooper's cover songs but challenged him to write an original by next Ohana Fest...

With Jim as his mentor, Cooper has now written several songs which he's recorded and will perform at our Cooper Fest in Summer of 2021.

I was thrilled to be playing in front of more than a hundred people but was also petrified. I was shocked to find that as I got onto the stage, all of my fears had melted away. I put my mouth up to the mic and began to sing. As I played, I looked at the audience’s smiling faces, I felt at peace.
